UNIT 9: WHAT ANIMALS DO YOU WANT TO SEE?
Lesson 1 (1-2-3)
I. Objectives:
 *By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to:
 + Ask and answer questions about what the other speaker saw at the zoo.
- Ss can develop some following competences
 + Problem-solving competence: act 1, act 2, act 3
 + Co-operation love schools and communicate with classmates to
 help Ss loving English: act 1, act 4
 + Self-study ability, ability to operate, live responsibly : act 2, act 3, act 4

III. Methods: 
-Communicative Language Teaching

-3 Ps
-Work individually, pairwork, groupwork
III. Teaching activities:
 Activity 1: Warm up 
 - Teacher gives Ss a picture or see a movie.
 - Two Ss in two groups see then tell what animals they’ve just seen ( that they’ve known or learnt)
 - Which group say more animals in limited time is the winner.
 Activity 2: Presentation:
 -Content 1.Look, listen and repeat
 a....he school canteen & talking about a school outing to the zoo
 b.Peter ask..Linda answer some animals that she saw
 c. Linda is telling Peter about the noisy monkeys.
 d. Peter asks Linda if she saw any tigers.
- Do choral & individual repetition, point to the characters speaking.
- Play the tape for SS to listen & repeat.
- Aks ss to draw out the pattern & write on the board.
- Check how to use the form
What did you see at the zoo?

 Activity 3: Practice
 -Content 2: Poin...talk 
 - Ss practice more with their friends, use two above questions.
 + Call an open pairs to give a demonstration.
 S1: When did you see at the zoo? S2: I went there.( times)
 S1: What did you see at the zoo? S2: I saw..
 + Have Ss practice in groups, pairs.
 + Call some pairs to do the dialogue in front of the class.
 t Consolidation:
 - Content: Review vocabulary and form.
 + Vocabulary: see- saw, pythons, crocodiles, peacocks, gorillas.
 + Form: What are you reading? -I’m reading...he end of the lesson Ps will be able to:
 +Ask and answer questions about animals in a zoo. 
 + Read each question, listen and tick the correct picture.
 + Read and complete the paragraph, using the words provided.
 +Sing the song What did you see at the zoo?
 - Ss can develop some following competences: 
 + Communicative and collaborative competence: act 1, act 4
 + Problem-solving competence: act 1, act 2, act 3
 + Self-studying and self-control competence: act 2, act 3, act 4

III. Teaching activities:
 Activity 1: Warm up 
 Guessing game ( using mine)
 - Divide class into two groups. One Ss stand in front of class to act .
 - Ss in other group guess & say the animal’s name.
 - Cotinue with other Ss in other group.
 - The winner is the group that guess more animals name.
 Activity 2:
 -Content 4 : Listen and tick
 Keys: Keys:1b 2a 3b
- Procedure:
 + Show Ss how to carry out the task & tick the box. 
 + Elicit the name of animals
 + Have Ss repeat the...oard for Ss to copy down.
- Procedure:
 + Call some Ss to read the passage aloud. 
 t Consolidation:
 - Content: Review vocabulary and form
 - Procedure:
 + ask students to answer the following questions:
 What have you learnt from the lesson today? 
 What are the core values of the lesson? ( if the teacher can take from the lesson). 
 + Praise some ss who are hard working/ active/ good. as well as encourage others to try more.
 + Give feedback

*Language focus: 
 - Vocabulary: tigers, roar loudly / peacocks, move beautifully / pythons, move

 + Call a few pairs to act out the greetings & response in front of the class.
