Week 11 Period 48 Unit 8: WHAT SUBJECTS DO YOU HAVE TODAY? Lesson 1 (1,2) Page 52 I. OBJECTIVES: * By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: + Pupils can ask and answer questions about what subjects the other speaker has for the current day. + Develop listening and speaking skill. + Know talking about school subjects in class, using sentence patterns: What subjects do you have today? à I have ________. * Ss can develop some following competences: + Communicative...doing some simple tasks, + Well-completed ss: help T demo something, join some difficult activities, do creative activities, II. MATERIALS - Teacher: PP lesson plan, books, pictures, flashcards, mp3 file. - Students: student book, notebook, pen, pencil III. METHOD Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practising, discussion group, technical present.... IV. TEACHING ACTIVITI...: Who are they?/ Where are they?/ What are they doing?/ What are they talking about? + Explain what happens in the pictures. + Explain new words: subject, Maths, Vietnamese, English + Say aloud the words, then ask pupils to repeat the words a few times + Play the recording for Ss to listen and point to the text in the bubbles. + Play the tape again for Ss to listen and say along. + Do choral & individual repetition a few times. + Ask pupils to practice in pairs. + Go round and c... do you have today?
