Lesson 1 
I. Objectives:
 * By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
 + pronounce the sound of the letter V/v in isolation. 
+ say the words village, van and volleyball.

 + Problem-solving competence: act 2
 + Self-studying and self-control competence: act 2

 Activity 2: 
 -Content 1.Listen and repeat
 a. Teaching the letter X/x
 - Procedure:
 + Have pupils point to the letter V/v (say “Point to the letter “v”). 
 + Explain that the name of the letter V/v is different to its sound (say “Listen. /viː/ /v/”). 
 b.Set the scence:
 - Procedure:
 +Have pupils look at the picture and describe it. Draw pupils’ attention to the letter V/v
 +Ask pupils to point to the letter V/v
..., van and volleyball in front of the class. 
 Activity 3: 
 -Content 2: Point and say
 - Procedure:
 + Have pupils look at the picture again. Ask them to describe the picture. Draw their attention to the letter V/v, the village/things, if necessary
+ Get them to point to the letter V/v and say it, saying Point to the letter V/v and say, please! 
+ Let them point to the village in the picture and say the word village as a model, saying Point to the village and say “village”, please! Remind ...atulate the winner
 t Consolidation:
- Content: Review the letter V/v and words (violet, van and vollayball)
- Procedure:
 + Ask Ss to answer the following questions:
 What have you learnt from the lesson today? 
 What are the core values of the lesson? ( if the teacher can take from the lesson). 
 + Praise some Ss who are hard-working/ active/ good. as well as encourage others to try more.
 + Give feedback

 + Incomplete Ss: can recognize target words while listening
 + Well-completed Ss: can the hear sentence structure while listening
 II. Materials:
 -T...rse for pupils to listen and to get familiarized with the rhythm, Then play the recording for them to listen and repeat until they feel confident.
 + Follow the same procedure with the second and third verse. Correct pronunciation, if necessary
 + Play the recording all the way through. Ask pupils to listen and repeat the chant individually and in chorus.
 Select some pupils to the front of the class to chant and clap their hands. The rest of the class may sing the chant and clap their hands .... 
 + Check the answers by asking “a or b?” When pupils answer correctly, confirm by saying “1a. I like jelly.”/“2b. I like juice.” and encourage them to repeat.

 Activity 4: 
-Content 5: Look and write
 - Procedure: 
 + Have pupils look at the letter V (upper case) and v (lower case). Remind them how to write it
 + Give pupils time to write the letter V/v independently
 + Check the results of pupils’ writing and g...o Activity 3, Unit 8 in their workbooks.
 + For better pupils, have them do Activity 4, Unit 8 in their workbooks.

 - Content: Review phrases and the chant

 - Procedure:
 + Ask students to answer the following questions:

 + Play the recording and encourage pupils to repeat (say “Listen and repeat.”). 
 + Do this several times, with pupils repeating both individually and in chorus. Correct their pronunciation if necessary, and praise them when their pronunciation is good. 
 Activity 3: 
 -Content 7: Let’s talk 
- Procedure:
 + Have pupils look at the bubbles to understand how the structure is used. Explain the meaning of the structure.
