1. The Simple Past tense: ( Thì quá khứ đơn)
a. Cách dùng: Dùng để diễn tả sự việc xảy ra trong quá khứ
b.Trạng từ đi kèm: Yesterday, last (night, week, month, year, vacation, summer), 
ago ( 2 days ago, a week a go)+ in + thời gian trong quá khứ ( in 1990) in 2006).
c. Cấu trúc:
c1 Động từ TOBE: Được chia làm 2 dạng: Was/were.
 S ( I/ She / He / I + chủ ngữ số ít) + was..
 S ( you / We / They / chủ ngữ số nhiều) + were.
c2: Động từ thường
 • Khẳng định: S + V (ed / 2)
 Ex: Hoa went to Nha Trang last vacation.
 Lastweek, Ba visited his grandparents in Hue.
 • Phủ định: S + didn/t + Vinf -(nguyên mẫu.)
 Ex: Nam didn/t go to school yesterday.
 Hoa didn/t watch TV last night. 
 • Nghi vấn: Did + S + Vinf ? _ Yes, S + did /No, S + didn/t.
 2. Câu hỏi về chiều cao:
 How + tall + be + S ?
 What + be(is) + S + height?
 S + be + chieu cao
 3 Câu hỏi về cân nặng:
 How + heavy + be + S ?
 What + be(is) + S/s + weight?
 S + be + cân nặng
 4. Lời yêu cầu: Would you like + to V , please?
 5. a. So, too: Diễn tả sự đồng ý dạng câu khẳng định:
 So đặt ở đầu câu/ Too đặt ở cuối câu
 b. Neither, either: Diễn tả sự đồng ý dạng câu phủ định:
 Neither đặt ở đầu câu/ either đặt ở cuối câu
 6.Tính từ( adjectives) và trạng từ ( adverbs)
 a. Vị trí của tính từ: Thường đứng sau TOBE.
 Ex: She is beautiful/ This book is very interesting Đứng trước danh từ và bổ nghĩa cho danh từ đó.
 Ex: She is a good student/ Ba is a skillful tennis player
 b. Vị trí của trạng từ:+ Thường đứng sau động từ thường
 Ex: They play soccer well./ Nam runs quickly. 
 You should carefully listen to the teacher.
 They suddenly had an accident
 7. Model verbs: Can/ must/ may/ maybe/ should/ ought to/ have to+ V

 Last year, Minh spent his summer vacation in Nha Trang. It was the first time 
he went to Nha Trang. He stayed at a friend’s house. His friend took him to see lots 
of interesting places in Nha Trang such as Cham Temple, Hon Chong, Tri Nguyen 
Aquarium, etc. Minh saw sharks, dolphins, and many different types of colorful sea 
fish at Tri Nguyen Aquarium. Minh bought a lot of gifts for his friends in the

of a dolphin on it. Minh liked the beaches best. He and his friend went swimming
