Lesson 1 (1-2-3)
I. Objectives:
 *By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to:
 + Ask and answer questions about when a school event will happen.
- Ss can develop some following competences
 + Problem-solving competence: act 1, act 2, act 3
 + Co-operation love schools and communicate with classmates to
 help Ss loving English: act 1, act 4
 + Self-study ability, ability to operate, live responsibly : act 2, act 3, act 4
 + Using lan...s:

-Total Physical Response 
-Natural Approach
-3 Ps
-Work individually, pairwork, groupwork
III. Teaching activities:
 Activity 1: Warm up 
 Say the word or word phrase in pictures.
 - Teacher gives Ss fives pictures
 - Ss in two groups see the pictures then tell what word or word phrase relate to the picture’s content ( that they’ve known or learnt)
 - Ss do the same picture by picture.
 - Which group say more words or word phrases first is the win...ce the characters in the picture and what they are doing.
- Explaint the contents in 4 pictures. 
 a. Mai asks Tony where Phong is & Tony answers Phong is in the gym.
 b.Mai asks what Phong is doing there& Tony say he is practising for Sports Day.
 c. Mai asks When will sports Day be?& Tony answer on Saturday.
 d. Tony says he will take part in Sports Day.
- Do choral & individual repetition, point to the characters speaking.
- Play the tape for SS to listen & repeat.
- Aks ss to draw ou...t will be in sarturday.
 (Continue with pictutes a,b and c)
 + Have Ss practice in pairs (close- open pairs). Check as a class. Good Ss will 
 help the below average Ss.
 Activity 4: Production
 -Content 3: Let’s talk 
 - Ss practice more with their friends, use the question above
 + Call an open pairs to give a demonstration.

 + Have Ss practice in groups, pairs.
 + Call some pairs to do the dialogue in front of the class.

I. Objectives:
 By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to:
 +listen, and match the pictures together. 
 + Read and match the questions with the answers. 
 + Sing the song When will Sports Day be?
 - Ss can develop some following competences: 
 + Communicative and collaborative competence: act 1, act 4
 + Problem-solving competence: act 1, act 2, act 3
 + Self-studying an...ve Language Teaching
 -Total Physical Response
 -Work individually, pairwork, groupwork 
III. Teaching activities:
 Activity 1: Warm up 
- Review the pattern : 
 T : When will . be? 
 Ss: It will be on 
Play game : Bean bag circle.
- Run throught 4 pictures.
- Play the tape. Ss begin to pass the puppet .
- When music is stopped suddently. S have a puppet that has to answer the question.
. Activity 2:
 -Content 4 : Listen and match
 Keys: Keys:1c 2a 3b
- Procedure:
 +Show the pict...pictures. 
 Note:
 - Good ss say the sentence they heard. (difficult)
 - Below average ss repeat .
Activity 3: 
 -Content 5: Read and complete:
 + Have Ss read the question and the answer then check comprehension. + 
 + Set time limit for ss to read and match individualy.Share with partner.
 + Get Ss to swap & check their answers before writing the correct answers on the board for Ss to copy down. .
- Procedure:
 + Call some pairs to ask & answer again. 
 Activity 3: 
 Content 6: Let...orm
 - Procedure:
 + ask students to answer the following questions:
 What have you learnt from the lesson today? 
 What are the core values of the lesson? ( if the teacher can take from the lesson). 
 + Praise some ss who are hard working/ active/ good. as well as encourage others to try more.
 + Give feedback
