Teaching activities: Activity 1: Warm up Say the word or word phrase in pictures. - Teacher gives Ss fives pictures - Ss in two groups see the pictures then tell what word or word phrase relate to the picture’s content ( that they’ve known or learnt) - Ss do the same picture by picture. - Which group say more words or word phrases first is the win...ce the characters in the picture and what they are doing. - Explaint the contents in 4 pictures. a. Mai asks Tony where Phong is & Tony answers Phong is in the gym. b.Mai asks what Phong is doing there& Tony say he is practising for Sports Day. c. Mai asks When will sports Day be?& Tony answer on Saturday. d. Tony says he will take part in Sports Day. - Do choral & individual repetition, point to the characters speaking. - Play the tape for SS to listen & repeat. - Aks ss to draw ou...t will be in sarturday. (Continue with pictutes a,b and c) + Have Ss practice in pairs (close- open pairs). Check as a class. Good Ss will help the below average Ss. Ss begin to pass the puppet . - When music is stopped suddently. S have a puppet that has to answer the question. .
