Week 23 Period 46 UNIT 14: WHAT HAPPENED IN THE STORY? Lesson (1, 2, 3) I. Objectives: * By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: + Remember and say some new words: watermelon, delicious, King,far away, seeds, exchange,order + Look, listen and repeat the dialogue about what happened in a story. + Asking and answering questions about what happened in a story. -Ss can develop some following competences: + Communicative and collaborative competence: act 1, act 4 + Problem-so.... Materials: - Teacher’s: books, pictures, flashcards,CD. - Students’: books, notebooks, crayons, pens,boards III. Method: -Communicative Language Teaching -Total Physical Response -Natural Approach -3Ps -Work individually, pairwork, groupwork III. Teaching activities: Activity 1: Warm up: Sing an English song Activity2: Presentation: 1.Look, listen and repeat - Teaching vocabulary: watermelon, delicious, King,far away, seeds, exchange,order - Set the sence: ... few times. + Write the whole sentences on the board. + Repeat the procedure with the second picture. + Practice the srtucture . (T- SS / GA–GB / S1- S2) + Call some pairs modal- ask Ss work in pairs + Calls some pairs to speak out and give indirect correction Activity 4: Production 3. Let’s talk - Procedure: + Elicit the task and how to answer + Fill the bubbles & write the sentences on the board.(modal) + Get Ss to repeat the task a few times. + Have Ss practice in p...aise some ss who are hard working/ active/ good. as well as encourage others to try more. + Give feedback t Homework: - Learn by heart the pattern. - Drill. Objectives: * By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: + Listen and number the correct pictures about asking and answering questions about what happened in a story. + Reading and completeing aboutasking and answering questions about what ...ar the key words + Well-completed Ss: can hear the whole sentences. II. Materials: -Teacher’s: books, pictures, flashcards,CD. -Students’: books, notebooks, pencils, pens,boards III. Method: -Communicative Language Teaching -Total Physical Response -Work individually, pairwork, groupwork III. Teaching activities: Activity 1: Warm up - Review the patterns - Uses the cards to remind the pattern. - Asks ss answer in choral then individual - Role play Activity 2: 4. Liste...s 3. apple 4. Got up 5. In the end - Procedure: + Have Ss read the text in silence. + Check comprehension & give feedback. + Elicit the words filling the gaps. + Ss have 3ms to do the task. + Get Ss to swap & check their answers before writing the correct answers on the board for Ss to copy down. + Call a few pairs to read aloud Activity 4: Procedure: + Have Ss identify the characters in the picture. + Show the lyrics of the song on the board. + Read the lyrics to the son...son today?
