 * By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

 - use the names Nam, Bill, Linh, Mary.

 - use ‘What’s your name?’ to ask and answer questions about someone’s name.

 - listen to and demonstrate understand of simple communicative contexts in relation to the topic “asking name”

 - Ss can develop some following competences:

 + Communicative and collaborative competence: act 1, act 4

 + Problem-solving competence: act 1, act 3

 + Self-studying and self-control competence: act 2, act 3, act 4

 + Problem-solving and creative competence: act 4

 *Language focus:

 - Vocabulary: My, name, what, your

 - Strucrure: What’s your name?; My name’s

 - Differentiated teaching:

+ Incomplete ss: ask and answer questions about someone’s name

+ Well-completed ss: ask and answer questions about someone’s name fluently

 *Attributes:

 + Kindness: help partners to complete learning tasks

 + Diligence: complete learning tasks

 + Honesty: tell the truth about feelings and emotions

 + Responsibility: appreciate kindness

I. Objectives:
 * By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
 - use the names Nam, Bill, Linh, Mary.
 - use ‘What’s your name?’ to ask and answer questions about someone’s name.

III. Teaching activities:
 Activity 1: Warm up 
 - Greet the class.
 T: Hello. How are you?
 Ss: Hello. I’m fine. Thank you.
 ...Do choral & individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking.
	+ Play the tape for Ss to listen & say along.
 + Write the pattern on the board
‘s = is
What’s your name? -My name’s Ben.
 Activity 3: Practice
 -Content 2: Point and say
 - Procedure:
 + Point to each character in the picture & elicit his/ her name & the words to fill the gap.
 + Write the whole sentences on the board.
 + Have Ss repeat the text in the bubbles a few times.
 + Repeat the procedure with the second...at’s your name?
 	S2: My name’s 
 + Call a few pairs to ask & answer in front of the class.
t Consolidation:
- Content: Review vocabulary and form.
 + Vocabulary: my, your name, what’s
 + Form: What’s your name? -My name’s Nam.
- Procedure:
 + ask students to answer the following questions:
 What have you learnt from the lesson today? 
 What are the core values of the lesson? (if the Ss can take from the lesson).

 Activity 2:
 -Content 4 : Listen and tick
 - Procedure:
 + Show Ss how to carry out the task & tick the correct picture. 
 + Elicit the names of the characters.
 + Have Ss repeat them.
 + Play the tape 3 times for Ss to listen. Do the task & check their answers.
 + Get Ss to swap & check their answers before checking as a class.
 Activity 3: 
 -Content 5: Look, complete and read
 - Procedure:
 + Have Ss read the text in silence...f the six pupils on the board. 
+ Call two or three pupils to the front of the class. Ask them to stand at a certain distance from the board. 
+ Invite one pupil to the front of the class and ask What's your name? The pupil answers the question with one of the names on the board (e.g. My name's Bill.) Have pupils run to the board and slap the correct flash card / word. The pupil who is the quickest to slap the correct word gets one point. The pupil who has the most points at the end of the gam...
