 + Communicative and collaborative competence: Activity 1, 3, 4

 + Problem-solving competence: Activity 1, 4

 + Self-studying and self-control competence: Activity 2, 3, 4

 + Problem-solving and creative competence: Activity 4

	 UNIT 8: MY FAVOURITE SUBJECTS.Lesson 1 (1,2) 
I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to asking and answering questions about someone’s favorite subjects.    
 + Develop listening and speaking skill.
 + Know talking about school subjects in class, using sentence patterns:
 What’s your favourite subjects ? à It’s ________.
 * Ss can develop some following competences: 
 + Communicative and collaborative competence: Activity 1, 3, 4
 + Problem-solving compe...e tasks, 
+ Well-completed ss: help T demo something, join some difficult activities, do creative activities, 
 II. Materials
 - Teacher: PP lesson plan, books, pictures, flashcards, mp3 file.
 - Students: student book, notebook, pen, pencil
III. Method
Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practising, discussion group, technical present....
IV. Teaching activities
*Activity 1:...hat are they doing?/ What are they talking about?
 + Explain what happens in the pictures. 
 + Explain new words: Art,IT,PE,Music
 + Say aloud the words, then ask pupils to repeat the words a few times
 + Play the recording for Ss to listen and point to the text in the bubbles.
 + Play the tape again for Ss to listen and say along.
 + Do choral & individual repetition a few times.
 + Ask pupils to practice in pairs.
 + check pupils can repeat and understand the dialogue. Correct about th...e gaps.
- Repeat the procedure with the second picture.
- Do choral & individual repetition.
- Have Ss practice in pairs. Check as a class and correct pronunciation, if necessary.
- Call some pairs to report in front of the class
- Give feedback and correct mistakes of pronunciation.
* Activity 4 : Let’s talk 
- Tell pupils that they are going to practise in pairs: one asks and the other answers questions about What’s your favourit subjects? It’s.

 + Listen and tick the correct pictures.
 + Read and complete sentences using the pictures. 
 + Sing the song “My favourite subjects”
 * Ss can develop some following competences: 
 + Communicative and collaborative competence: Activity 1, 4
 + Problem-solving competence: Activity...ts: student book, notebook, pen, pencil
III. Method: 
 Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practising, discussion group, technical present.... 
IV. Teaching activities:
 *Activity 1: Warm up 
- Review vocabulary: IT,PE,Music, Art.  
- Call a few pairs to the front of the class to ask and answer the question What’s your favouite subjects?
- Lead into the new lesson.

 - Have them look at the pictures and the subjects they have .
 - Ask pupils to do the task.
 - Get pupils to swap their answers.
 - Ask pupils to give answers and other pupils to give comments.

* Activity 4 : Let’s sing
 - Tell pupils that they are going to sing the song: My favourite subjects
 - Have Ss identify the characters in the picture.
