Lesson 1 
I. Objectives:
 * By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
 + correctly pronounce the name of the letter U / u
 + correctly pronounce the name of the letter U/u and the words sun, truck, bus, running 
 + recognize the words in different situations when listening. 
 - Ss can develop some following competences:

III. Teaching activities:
 Activity 1: Warm up 
Singing the song in Unit 10, Lesson 3, Activity 8.
Sing a song

 That’s a monkey.
 Mango, mango
 That’s a mango.
 Mother, mother
 That’s my mother.
 Activity 2: 
 -Content 1.Listen and repeat
 a. Teaching the letter U / u
 - Procedure:
 + Have Ss point to the letter U/u explain that the name of the letter U...ning Ask them to listen and repeat the word sun, truck, bus, running 
 + Repeat the same procedure with the sun, truck and bus. Give further support to those pupils who find it difficult to do the task.
 + Play the recording again and have them listen, point to the letter U/u and and repeat until they feel confident. Correct pronunciation, if necessary.
 +Play the recording again and call some pupils to say the letter U/u and the words sun, truck, bus, running in front of the class. 
 Activi...procedure with sun, truck, bus.. Give further support to those pupils who find it difficult to do the task.
 + Ask pupils to work in pairs or in group
 + Invite some pupils to point to the picture and say the sound of the letter and the words in front of the class.
 Activity 4: 
 -Fun cornner : play a game “Slap the board” 
 - Procedure:
 + Divide class into two groups
 + Ask Ss of two groups play game
 + Congratulate the winner

- Content: Review the letter U/u and wo...nd of the lesson, students will be able to: 
Chant a poem including the words sun,truck, bus and running 
Listen and recognize the words.
Trace the letter U in upper case and lower case. complete the words b_____s,tr_ck, s_n, r_nning

 + Play the recording all the way through. Ask pupils to listen and repeat the chant individually and in chorus, saying Listen and chant, please! Give furthe...upils to point to the pictures and say the words in front of the class
 + Ask pupils to say what they have heard and ticked
 + Ask pupils to share their idea with their partner
 + Call some to go to the board and write their answers

 Procedure:
 + Have pupils look at the letter U (upper case) and u (lower case). Write the upper case U and the lower case u on the board
 + Write the upper case U and the lower case u in broken lines on the ... the lesson? ( if the teacher can take from the lesson). 
 + Praise some ss who are hard working/ active/ good. as well as encourage others to try more.
 + Give feedback
