Week Period Unit 14: IN THE TOY SHOP Lesson 1 I. Teaching activities: Activity 1: Warm up Singing the song in Unit 13, Lesson 3, Activity 8. Sing a song Activity 2: -Content 1. Listen and repeat a. Teaching the letter T/t - Procedure: + Have Ss point to the letter T/t explain that the name of the letter N/n is different to its sound /t/ +Encourage Ss to repeat several times b.Set the scence: Have pupils look at the picture and describe i... to do the task. - Procedure: + Play the recording again and have them listen, point to the letter T/t and repeat until they feel confident. Correct pronunciation, if necessary. +Play the recording again and call some pupils to say the letter T/t and the words Teddy bear, top, tiger, turtle in front of the class. Activity 3: -Content 2: Point and say - Procedure: +Have pupils look at the picture again, saying Look at the picture on Page 60, please!Ask them to describe the picture...e some pupils to point to the picture and say the sound of the letter and the words in front of the class. Activity 4: -Fun cornner : play a game “Slap the board” - Procedure: + Divide class into two groups + Ask Ss of two groups play game + Congratulate the winner t Consolidation: - Content: Review the letter T/t and words (Teddy bear, top, tiger, turtle) - Procedure: + Ask Ss to answer the following questions: What have you learnt from the lesson today?
