- Listen and identify some words fish, chips, milk and chicken.

+ Self-studying and self-control competence: remember and pronounce new words (Activity 2, Activity 3)
+ Problem-solving and creative competence: pronounce new word from each picture (Activity 2, Activity 3).
* Language focus:
- Vocabulary: I/i, chips, fish, chicken and milk.
- Sentence patterns:
+ Incomplete ss: can know and remember some words about the topic.
+ Well-completed ss: can know and remember all the words about the topic

Week 9 Period 16 UNIT 5: AT THE FISH AND CHIP SHOP Lesson 1 I. Objectives: * By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Identify the letter I, sound /i/. - Listen and identify some words fish, chips, milk and chicken. - Develop some following competences: + Communicative and collaborative competence: Activity 1 + Problem-solving competence: Activity 1 + Self-studying and self-control competence: remember and pronounce new words (Activity 2, Activity 3) + Problem-s...ethods: Communicative Approach, Pictures, Picture cue drill, Audio Lingual Method, Presentation-Practice-Production, teaching methods with games pair work and group work. IV. Teaching activities: Activity 1: ( 5 minutes) Warm up: Sing the song * Content: Ss sing the song in Unit 4, Lesson 3/p.19 *Procedure: - T asks pupils to sing the song and make the gesture of a duck, a dog and a desk when singing. - Some pupils demonstrate the song in front of the class, the rest of the class list... checks spelling for ss. - Well-completed ss practice. Incomplete ss listen Activity 3: (12 minutes) 2.Point and say: (Practice) *Content: - Ss practice saying the letter I/i and the words chips, chicken, fish and milk. * Procedure: - T describes the picture again. - Give further support to those pupils who find it difficult to pronounce the words. - Ss work in pairs or in groups to point to the picture and say the sound of the letter I/i and the words. - Two or three pupils to point ...back. Objectives: * By the end of the lesson, students will be able to : - Say the letter I/i, the words chicken, chips, fish, milk and the phrases containing /i/ and chicken, chips, fish, milk in a chant. - Listen and identify the words fish, chicken. - Trace the letter I/i. - Develop some following.... - Sentence patterns: + Incomplete ss: can listen some key words, tick the correct answers in Activity 3 and trace the letter I/i in Activity 4. + Well-completed ss: listen all the words in the chant and tick the correct boxes. They can understand and read aloud that they listen in Activity 3, trace letter I/i in correction. II. Materials: - Teacher’s aids: Student’s and Teacher’s book, pictures cassette, interactive board. - Students aids: books, notebooks and workbooks. III. Me...ten and chant: *Content: - Students listen to the tape and chant. * Procedure: - Set the scene . - T reads the chant, checks comprehension and gives meaning. - Play the recording 2 times for ss to listen and repeat until they feel confident. - T shows ss how to chant and clap hands. - Ss listen and repeat the chant individually and in chorus. - Select some ss to the front of the class to chant and clap their hands.
