Lesson 1 
I. Objectives:
 * By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
 + correctly pronounce the name of the letter A/a
 + correctly pronounce the name of the letter A /a in isolation and in the words hat,apple,can,bag
 + recognize the words in different situations when listening. 
 - Ss can develop some following competences(năng lưc): 
 + Communicative and collaborative competence: act 1,3,4
 + Problem-solving competence: act 1...Communicative Language Teaching
 -Total Physical Response
 -Natural Approach
 -3Ps
III. Teaching activities:
 Activity 1: Warm up 
Sing a song
 Activity 2: 
 -Content 1.Listen and repeat
 a. Teaching the letter A/a
 - Procedure:
 + Have Ss point to the letter A/a explain that the name of the letter C/c is different to its sound A/a
 +Encourage Ss to repeat several times 
 b.Set the scence:
 - Procedure:
 +Have pupils look at the picture and describe it. Draw pupils’ attention to t...e recording again and have them listen, point to the letter A/a and the bag, can and hat and repeat until they feel confident. Correct pronunciation, if necessary.
 +Play the recording again and call some pupils to say the letter A/a and the words bag,hat,can ,apple in front of the class 
 Activity 3: 
 -Content 2: Point and say
 - Procedure:
 +Have pupils look at the picture again, saying Look at the picture on Page 14, please! Ask them to describe the picture again. Draw their attention t...d say the sound of the letter and the words in front of the class.
 Activity 4: 
 -Fun cornner : play a game “pelmanism” with the words apple.can, bag,hat
 - Procedure:
 + Divide class into two groups
 + Ask Ss of two groups play game
 + Congratulate the winner
 t Consolidation:
- Content: Review the letter A/a and words (can, bag, hat)
- Procedure:
 + Ask Ss to answer the following questions:
 What have you learnt from the lesson today? 
 What are the core values of the lesson? ( ps... tructure while listening
 + Trace the letter A in upper case and a lower case.
 +Write the letter A/a and complete the words can,bag,hat,apple
 - Ss can develop some following competences: 
+ Communicative and collaborative competence:act 1,3,4(
+ Problem-solving competence: act 1,3
+ Self-studying and self-control competence:act 2, 3,4
+ Problem-solving and creative competence: act 4
 *Language focus: 
 - Phrases: an apple,on the hat , and in the bag
 - Differentiated teaching:
 + I...the letter A/a and the word apple
+ Ask pupils to listen and repeat the first line, saying Listen again and repeat, please! Then play the recording for them to listen and repeat until they feel confident. 
 + Follow the same procedure with the other lines. Show pupils how to chant and clap their hands.
 + Play the recording all the way through. Ask pupils to listen and repeat the chant individually and in chorus, saying Listen and chant, please! Give further support to those pupils who find i... say the words in front of the class
 + Ask pupils to say what they have heard and ticked
 + Ask pupils to share their idea with their partner
 + Call some to go to the board and write their answers
 Activity 4: 
-Content 5: Look and trace
 - Procedure:
 + Have pupils look at the letter A (upper case) and a (lower case). Write the upper case A and the lower case a on the board
 + Write the upper case A and the lower case c in broken lines on the board
 + Tell pupils to trace the letter ...re the core values of the lesson? ( if the teacher can take from the lesson). 
 + Praise some ss who are hard working/ active/ good. as well as encourage others to try more.
 + Give feedback

I. Objectives:

 + recognige target words and sentence tructure while listening

 + Well-completed Ss: can use the sentence structures : this is my_________. Replaces some phrases they’ve studied
 II. Materials:
 -Teacher’s: books, pictures, flashcards,CD.
 -Students’: books, crayons

III. Teaching activities:
 Activity 1: Warm up 
 - Game: “ guessing pictures game”
 Activity 2: 
 -Content 6: Listen and repeat
 - Procedure:

 + Have pupils work in pairs, good Ss will help the below average and average Ss.
 Activity 3: 
 -Content 7: Let’s talk 
 - Procedure:
 +Point to each picture & elicit its name & the words to fill the gaps.
 + Have Ss repeat the text in the bubbles a few times.
 + Repeat the procedure with the second picture.
 + Do choral & individual repetition.
